You may know Hemad Fadaifar as the most interesting bartender in Milwaukee, but his status has been taken to a whole new level as the winner of Dos Equis’ “Stay Thirsty” grant. In his pursuit to become the most interesting man in the world, he will climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, explore the Himalayas, and much more.
Although he was born on Long Island and is about to travel the world, he still calls Milwaukee Home, and here’s why;
"Home isn’t a place, it isn’t an address, it’s not where you lay your head at night, it’s not where your mail gets sent to, and it’s not some place you can find on Google Maps. Home is a feeling, not a location. That’s why people say "make yourself at home" - they want you to feel a certain way, regardless of where you are. I call Milwaukee Home because of the humble people, the diverse culture, that Midwest charm, that small "big-city" feel, the constant support it has for it’s community and appreciation for local businesses, and the opportunity it provides individuals to grow for those that are willing to take a chance - that makes me feel "at home". I wasn’t born in Milwaukee, nor do I plan on living here my whole life; however, Milwaukee has made me feel at ease, appreciated, and loved - that’s what home is - that’s why I call Milwaukee Home."
